Shipping With Freight
WHAT IS FREIGHT?
Freight shipping is used when purchased items are larger than a certain size, or heavier than allowed in typical shipping methods. Currently, the calculations we use to determine whether an item requires freight shipping is the following:
- Height + (Depth x2) + (Width x2). If this number is over 108, then we generally ship freight.
- Items over 70 lbs.
These calculations are a general idea of whether an item is freight. This does not necessarily mean an item outside of these calculations WON'T be freight. And vice versa.
WHERE CAN I RECEIVE A FREIGHT SHIPMENT?
Delivery on freight shipments is limited to the contiguous United States. Arrangements can be made for locations outside of the United States at additional cost.
I BOUGHT AN ITEM THAT NEEDS TO BE SHIPPED BY FREIGHT. WHAT DO I DO NEXT?
After placing your order, our staff will contact you once it's determined the item you ordered indeed needs to be shipped via freight. A shipping quote will be sent to you, allowing you to review the final order and, if the quote is unacceptable, you may opt out of shipping and/or cancel the order.
CAN'T I JUST PICK IT UP MYSELF?
Always! Our store is located at 250 West Main Street, Benton Harbor, Michigan, 49022. Our hours of operation are:
- Summer
- Monday to Friday - 9am to 6pm
- Saturday - 9am to 5pm
- Winter
- Tuesday to Friday - 9am to 6pm
- Saturday - 9am to 5pm
WHAT TO DO WHEN MY SHIPMENT IS DELIVERED?
For delivery to a place of business, please provide the hours and operational hours so that we may include this information to the trucking company.
If you have any special considerations that may be necessary at the time of delivery, please let Wolf's Marine know prior to shipment. These considerations may incur additional fees from the shipping company.
These extras include, but are not limited to:
- Require a liftgate
- Doorstep delivery, or delivery inside a building
Upon delivery, either you or another responsible adult must be available to inspect and sign for the shipment. If there is any visible damage to the outside of your shipment, prior to signing for delivery, please unpackage and inspect the entire shipment thoroughly for any possible damage done to the product. Any damage should be detailed on the delivery receipt, and should the product be in an unacceptable condition, please refuse the shipment and notify us by contacting us immediately at (269)926-1068 to arrange a claim and, if necessary, reship your order in a timely matter.
